After spending two wonderful weeks listening to your playlists, I've chosen my favorite. Congrats (and thank you) to Juan Soneyra for his remix playlist. I didn't even know I was into remixes and these songs are A+++. I've been obsessively listening to #1, 2, and 6. You can download Juan's playlist here. The link will expire in one week.

Thank you to everyone that participated, and especially to those who sent me CD's. Some people even made covers for the cases and decorated the CD's! I've put together some of my favorites from the playlists that you can also download. There were about 40 playlists sent to me so this is just a small portion of the music. Pop Surrealism - What a Wonderful World

The music contest ends today! This has been the best two weeks, all the silence filled with new music I haven't heard before all thanks to you guys! I am going to take a week or so to continue listening to the playlists since some came in yesterday, just to be fair. I will contact/post the winner next friday.

Here is a part of a drawing I finished a couple days ago. The full image will be revealed in May because I hope to turn it into a painting next month. I think the girl looks like a scared bug but her expression will work well with the rest of the drawing. What do you think of the new face shape?

Sneak Peek #2

I took some pictures around my studio today after I finished painting the sky in this new piece. It isn't coming out how I had imagined which frustrated me at first, but after stepping away from it for a few hours it is growing on me. I'm really loving taking photographs with Ara's amazing Leica camera, I even replaced the iphone picture in the last post with a nicer one. Expect more studio shots in the next couple months as I work on the last quarter of my show!
